Liverpool 2 close in on Division 4 Title

Liverpool 2 win crunch match at the top of division 4 against Prescot 2 to leave themselves within touching distance of wrapping up the division 4 title with 2 games to go
An impressive 5-1 win against their biggest competition was just the ticket
Nazar kicked off the results with a tactical move and checkmate in a sicilian game and soon after Peter Lipka heaped on the pressure with a huge attack around his opponents king which smashed through to find a beautiful checkmate to make it 2-0
Sam Gibbons in a close Queens gambit declined game but soon trapped his opponents knight which had no safe square to retreat to and the win soon followed
Plamen made it 4-0 after defending a removing a threatening passed pawn to then launch his own attack with a bishop and rook tactical discovered check which left his opponent significant material down
Then Steve Mc once again played a great Caro khan game and a winning position but an illegal move caused some confusion and after a bit of controversy a draw was agreed and Mike Clarke’s English could not break through to his opponents king despite a 4 strong wall of pawns dominating the centre of the board and a draw was agreed to match the final score 5-1
