First night at New Venue and Liverpool 1 close in on title!
Liverpool chess club had their first evening at their fantastic new venue “Metrocola” last night which was booming with chess players and Football fans watching Liverpool v Carlo Ancelotti, what a great atmosphere plus pizza, chicken wings and Nachos galore! Every table in the bar area was full
To top it off Liverpool 1 had a crucial match against Atticus 1 and won convincingly in the end although the match was a closer affair than the scoreline suggests!

This win puts Liverpool 1 on the brink of officially winning the Merseyside Division 1 title for the first time since 1985!
Two games to go against bottom 2 teams and just one win will secure the Silver Rook Trophy!
Club players were amazed at the vibrancy of the new venue which promises to be warmly welcomed by club members and away teams too!

Liverpool 7 lost last night away to Atticus 4 by a score of 5-1
Shay Hanlon won again on board 1 but defeats for Jake, Joshvir, Thomas, Magda and Joe on s tough away night.
Liverpool 6 away tonight to Aigburth and L3 away to Wallasey on Thursday
