Liverpool win 4 MCA 2019 Titles and Individual Awards

Liverpool Chess Club collected a number of team trophies and individual awards at last nights Merseyside Chess AGM
Bashar Rovezi can be seen collecting the winners trophies for Liverpool Juniors winning both the Merseyside Junior Division 1 title and the MCA Adult Division 5 trophy
Bashar also won the Player the season award for both of these divisions, winning the Division 5 award outright with 8.5 from 10 games and alongside all of his junior team mates Marek, Nik, Frank and Luke in the Junior league who all won 5 from 5 games. Well done Bashar and Liverpool Juniors who now move up to the MCA adult Division 4 league next season.
James Rigby can be seen picking up the MCA Division 2 trophy for Liverpool 2 and the Liverpool 3 trophy alongside L3 captain Jim Gallagher. In this same picture James is also seen collecting the MCA Division 3 Player of the season award with 7.5 wins from 8 games. Brilliant achievement James!
The Liverpool Players present Sylvia, Sean, Mike, Ste Lloyd James and Jim can be seen with 2 of this years 4 trophies Liverpool have won. Liverpool have now won between 2 and 4 trophies every season for the last 4 years. Before that Liverpool had not won a single trophy since a solitary Knotty Ash cup win in 2004.
Quite a turnaround of fortunes for Liverpool chess club!
