Malcolm Pein

Malcolm Pein (International master since 1986) followed in the footsteps of his father and played for Liverpool Chess club in the 1970’s before moving to London where he is now the Chief Executive of the Chess in Schools Charity focusing on chess development in primary schools across the UK.
Malcolm has played at the highest level and has notable victories over grandmasters Anand and Svidler
Malcolm also writes the daily chess column in the Daily Telegraph newspaper and is the Executive editor of Chess magazine and is International Director for the English Chess Federation.
